This is really, depressing. If you knew how much effort went behind making the souvenirs, you'd think the same way too.

I'm feeling horribly bad towards those who sacrificed their free time to help out.

I'm really sorry.

But things could have been a lot worse, so while the souvenirs may not be perfect, they are still the products of our efforts, resilience and team work. And I'm still proud of them :D

Hopefully the guests will feel the same way too.


And, you guys, don't be so self-absorbed. As much as what you're doing is important, spare a thought for the ones around you. Don't implicate and trouble others simply because you are too caught up with your downright important work.

It's just not right. And not worth hurting others over.

I'm sick & at home.

Not a bad thing, actually.

Got the sleep I need, and the extra time to study for Geog in-class assignment (which is basically a test, with a less intimidating/dreaded name).

I just have to mentally prepare myself for the influx of assignments that I need to catch up on tomorrow, and bear with the memory of my temporary blindness.

Yeah, but I shall spare you guys the account of my disrupted vision today. Basically, I am guessing that my migraine condition has brought about implications to my eyesight, kinda seriously from the looks of it. But of course, I won't know for sure until my appointment with the eye doctor @ NUH.

Meanwhile, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping all will be fine.

Migraine today D:

A horrible, horrible one. Horrible not because it hurt, but because it didn't hurt enough for me to throw up, so it just lingered on.

And it still hasn't gone away.

So I'm stranded in school because I didn't have enough sense to bring along a set of house keys with me. Can't blame me though: Once bitten, twice shy.

Oh, did I mention that I've finally got my hands on Midnight Alley?

Last week, actually. Thanks to Eileen, who didn't mind my agonised ramblings about how I couldn't find the book and who also didn't find it offending to have to walk down the same street 4 times :D

I finished the book in 4 hours flat, inclusive of dinner time (I had no choice - my granny threatened to throw the book out of the window).

And it's just... wow.

Limited vocabulary, sorry! But there's no way I could have done it justice if I tried to describe just how unbelievably good it is anyway.

I think it'd suffice to say that I've fallen in love with a fictional character, haha!

And Feast of Fools will be out on 3rd June! In America, anyway. It'd be a miracle if it'd be available in Singapore that fast. I had to travel to (almost) the other side of Singapore just to get Midnight Alley. No Dead Girls' Dance and Glass Houses on sale even.

I might have to resort to online shopping but I'm not exactly sure how that is supposed to work.

Hmm.

And an update from Rachel Caine saying that she will be starting work on Lord of Misrule in March :D As well as an invitation of sorts to vote for the character that I'd like to see on the book cover.

Unsurprisingly, I voted for SHAAAAAANE, who ultimately won with a result of 55.6% :D

I remember myself, just a couple of days ago, complaining to er, myself, how it seems I have nothing to look forward to this year.

Last year was definitely an exciting year for me:

Those were just the highlights. And this year, besides the HP: HBP movie in NOVEMBER, there didn't seem to be anything for me to look forward to.

And it felt wierd. Like, I was just passing each day without any goal in mind.

I know these aren't suppose to be the REASON(s) FOR MY LIVING. But hey, they make my life waaaaay more interesting.

BUT NOW, I've come to realise that there are so many things for me to countdown to that I think I'm pretty much going to burst in excitement!

Too bad Westlife is going to take a one-year break 'cos it'd be great if there was something concerning them that I could look foward to as well.

Seems like I need to start saving up if I actually intend to get all those stuff that I've listed. It's going to cost a bomb, those things...

But worth it, most certainly :D

They are nice yeah, but somewhat inferior to those I got last year. And I've only got 4 this time around, 2 of which are tops, so huh.

Better than nothing though.

And the prospect of CNY makes up for the dampened mood :D Can't wait till this time tomorrow 'cos it's going to be a long, long day.

I slept till 1pm! I'm such a pig :O

Actually, no. I woke up at 9, then went back to sleep. On and off till 1pm.

But aiyaaaa, slacking once in a while doesn't hurt. And I needed the sleep anyway.

What with me drowning in all the proposals, proposals and proposals - i.e. proposals for SIAs, proposals for Council and proposals for CCA. Sleepovers @ LH's house are turning out to be for the sole purpose of writing/editing/vetting proposals. Which is not fun! D:

Seems like my life is revolving around proposals now. My sole reason for living, snorts.

And tuition last night killed me. I wasn't even thinking straight, even Rousi could tell. But I'm relieved over the fact that whatever I'm learning in school finally coincides with what is being taught in tuition. So less confusion, more improvement :D That's what I hope anyway.

So yes, I slacked the whole of today. And I know I'll come to regret soon if I don't get on with work like, NOW, but I don't really care that much at the moment.

Partly 'cos such restful time is hard to come by.

Then there's also the fact that Daniel Radcliffe had a girlfriend, of which I only just found out.

Note the emphasis on had, 'cos they've already broken up.

Nonetheless, I'm still that teeny weeny bit affected.

Which I know I shouldn't 'cos the chances of me even meeting him is practically nil. And I'm only obsessed with him due to his role as my fave boy wiz, I think.

Ahhh, depressions aside!

CNY in 4 days' time! New clothes, truckloads of food AND MONEYYYYY :D

This brightens up my mood alright :D Should be going out shopping tomorrow for my new clothes. Will definitely be looking out for potential dresses for GRACES too. Might as well get everything taken care off since my mum will be footing the bill, no? HA.

And a probable 6A outing on CNY eve :D Hopefully someone will be good enough to plan one, then I can meet y'all! Actually, if we can't think of anything to do, there's always that HDB flat we hung out the last time. And play silly, lame games like Blow wind, blow, Concentration and guessing those nonsensical questions :D

'Cos in the event when no one in class bothers to respond to her questions, she'll call me.

The problem?
I'm not exactly the most attentive student during Biology lessons.

AND URGH, EYEBALL DISECTION.

The memory of it still nauseates me :O

I highly suspect the eyeball I got came from an elderly pig. 'Cos instead of being white, it was plastered with black-coloured identified, er... stuff. With eyelashes still intact =.=

And earlier on, I wasn't able to locate the eyeball 'cos it was wrapped up with thickkkkk fats! It was crazy trying to cut out the fats to see the eyeball.

Plus it kept deflating, which made disection tougher 'cos I had to (bloody hell) squeeze the eyeball so as to keep it firm enough for me to cut.

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

AND THEN, when the eyeball is completely severed, BLACK LIQUID STARTS FLOWING OUT!

But I guess I'm lucky it didn't squirt out, like some my friends' did :\

Still, a traumatic experience. I'm glad I fell sick when we had to dissect pigs' hearts last year. Imagine all the blood!
